About PitchPro

A small mill that thinks like a builder.

We started in 2009 with two band mills, a forklift and a stubborn idea: that buying timber should feel like talking to the person who actually sawed it. Sixteen years on, we still grade by hand, still call clients back the same day, and still believe a board is worth more than its bar code.

  • Family-owned mill on a four-acre Portland site, founded 2009.
  • Direct relationships with Pacific Northwest forest managers.
  • In-house drying, planing, profiling and finishing.
  • Trade pricing and no-minimum sample boards for designers.

Why timber

Material that earns its place.

01

Strength to last

Properly seasoned pine and hardwood handle structural loads decade after decade with little fuss and no fatigue.

02

Quietly thermal

Wood naturally insulates — warmer underfoot in winter, cooler underhand in summer than concrete or composite.

03

Carbon stored

Each board feet of timber locks away roughly a kilogram of CO₂ for as long as the piece stays in use.

04

Repairable for life

Sand it, refinish it, scarf in a fresh section — timber forgives wear in a way synthetic materials simply don't.

How we work

Three steps, no surprises.

1

Brief & sample

Tell us what you're building. We'll send physical samples of recommended species, finishes and profiles within five working days.

2

Spec & price

You confirm the spec; we put a fixed-price quote in writing with lead times, freight and finishing schedule.

3

Mill & deliver

Your order is run by a single mill team, packed for transit and delivered with grade documentation and care notes.

Voices

What clients say.

PitchPro pulled boards by hand for our restaurant fit-out and three years on, the bar tops still look like the day they shipped.

Honest grading, honest invoicing. They are the only mill we'll quote against on hospitality joinery now.

Aaron VogelPrincipal, Vogel & Beck Studio

We needed 600 export pallets, ISPM-15 stamped, in twelve days. They delivered on day eleven and threw in extra dunnage.

Common questions

Things people ask before they order.

Do you supply both retail and wholesale volumes?
Yes. Our minimum order is a single board for makers and designers, and we ship full truck-load and container quantities for builders, fabricators and pallet plants. Trade accounts are reviewed on first order.
Where is your timber sourced?
Primarily from FSC-managed pine and hardwood forests across Oregon, Washington and northern Idaho. We work directly with two cooperatives and one private forest holding so we can trace every batch back to the stand.
How long does a custom furniture build take?
Most bespoke pieces ship within six to ten weeks of approved drawings, depending on finish complexity, hardware lead times and how rare the species is. We confirm a delivery date in writing before we cut anything.
Do you handle decking installation?
We supply finished decking material and partner with three vetted regional installers when you need a turnkey job. Otherwise, we'll happily ship to your contractor with profiles, oils and a fastener schedule included.
Can you ship outside Oregon?
Yes. We palletise and freight across the lower 48 weekly, and arrange ocean freight to Asia and Europe for export pallets and architectural orders.
What finishes do you offer on decking?
Hard-wax oils, marine penetrating oils, water-based clear coats and natural-greying treatments. Samples of each are sent with the species swatch pack.
