A short walk through projects that landed well — from a hillside villa above the Columbia Gorge to a 600-pallet rush for a logistics client outside Seattle.
Hood River Hillside Villa.
A two-level wraparound deck for a private residence on a ten-degree slope above the Columbia River. We supplied 1,800 square feet of profile-milled pitch pine in 6/4 stock, end-sealed and finished with marine penetrating oil before dispatch. Installed by Granger & Co.
- Species: pitch pine, kiln-dried to 12% MC.
- Profile: hidden-fastener grooved, 5.5-inch face.
- Lead time: 22 working days from quote to delivery.
Stumptown Patio Co.
Twelve dining tables and matching bench seats for a new patio fit-out in NE Portland. Solid white-oak tops on hand-welded steel bases, finished with hard-wax oil that handles cocktail spills and Saturday-morning espresso machines.
- Species: quarter-sawn white oak, 1.75-inch top.
- Build time: six weeks for twelve tables and seating.
- Three years on, no top has needed re-finishing.
